Direct Digital Synthesized Radio Frequency Signal Generator
Toronto, Canada - GAO Instruments (www.GAOInstruments.com) has rolled out its Radio Frequency Signal Generator that features both automatic and manual testing modes. It is commonly used in R&D and production testing of AM/FM receivers, civil-band transceivers, and cordless telephones.
This high accuracy radio frequency signal generator, model A0230005, is a highly integrated instrument that uses advanced DDS (direct digital synthesized) technology. It generates CW, FM (Frequency Modulation), AM (Amplitude Modulation), and FM Stereo modulation signals.
Compared with traditional signal generator, it features high accuracy, high resolution, high reliability and offers a wide frequency range of 300 kHz to 300 MHz as well as an output range of -8 to 120 dBµ at a resolution of 0.1 dB. It also boasts a storage memory of 100 points.
In addition, this easy-to-use signal generator has optional RS 232C and IEEE-488 (GPIB) interfaces. Using these interfaces, the instrument can be formed into an automatic test system under the control of a host computer together with other instruments.
This multi-function RF signal generator belongs to GAO's family of Logic Analyzers and Generators. The line of products is generally used in designing, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing electronic or electro acoustic devices. Other featured products in this line of products are DDS Function /Arbitrary Generator/Counter, Digital RF Millivoltmeter and Frequency Counter which measures sinusoidal signal voltage over a wide frequency range of 10 kHz to 2000 MHz. and Digital Function Generator which has the ability to automatically and repetitively sweep the frequency of the output waveform between two operator-determined limits.
